Andie Ohde - Living Your Best Lifestyle

“Inspiring people to live the best lifestyle they can . . . this is my passion!” - Andie Ohde, LIV Sotheby's International Realty, Vail Area

Connecting lifestyle with community is what Andie loves to do. Living in the Vail Valley is as close to heaven as you can get. All four seasons are uniquely beautiful with each providing abundant outdoor activities. The community is rich with culture, connectivity and the people are genuine. The proximity to Denver International Airport and the regional Vail Valley Jet Center makes it an effortless destination for vacationers, primary, or secondary homeowners. “When my clients are looking to purchase a home here, these are the reasons typically which are at the top of the list.” states Andie.

Over the last several years, and more recently, the traditional professional landscape has begun shifting to include more remote working opportunities. “Lifestyle, with proximity to travel and in-office working capability will become more of a requirement for people when reevaluating their ideal locations to live” Andie exclaims.

Tucked beneath majestic mountain ranges and surrounded by White River National Forest sits the Vail Valley – a picturesque jewel found along the Rocky Mountains. While most famously known for the world-renowned ski resorts of Vail and Beaver Creek, the Vail Valley gives so much more. Each season is an experience unto its own, from the lush green terrain from the Spring runoff to the golden mountains of fall or the picturesque blue bird winter days. The community is a harmonious blend of culture, arts and small-town charm which makes it an ideal place to call home whether year-round, seasonally or as a vacation home.

Accurately coined “the playground of the Rockies”, the amount of outdoor recreation available in the Vail Valley is astounding and is just one reason why it is such a popular resort destination. An estimated 1.3 million visitors travel to the Vail area each year with about half coming for the winter season and the other half return to relish in our beautiful summers1. Ask almost any long-time local and they will tell you, “I came for the winter, but stayed for the summers.”

YEAR-ROUND ACTIVITIES FOR EVERYONE IN THE FAMILY

You don’t need to spend much time here before you realize why so many families decide to call this their primary or second home. In the town of Vail alone, about 70% of the properties are purchased as second-homes.

PRIVATE CLUBS THAT ENHANCE THE VAIL LIFESTYLE With an abundance of active lifestyles in the Vail Valley, comes an array of choices for private mountain clubs. Many of the private clubs offer more than just golfing, skiing or social memberships with year-round activities that provide options for both the primary and secondary homeowners. Whether choosing public, semi-private, or private options, there are 14 golf courses within the 40 miles between East Vail and Gypsum to experience.

The course I call home is Frost Creek Mountain Club, which is located in the idyllic Brush Creek Valley only 20 minutes from the Eagle County Jet Center. This membership is quite diverse including locals and members who live outside the Vail Valley. At Frost Creek, members are not required to own property in Eagle County, so they can fly in directly to the regional airport and utilize the fully equipped, luxury cabins (ranging from 1 to 4-bedrooms) or “glamp” in the two extravagant yurts during their stay. Another great option is the Sonnenalp Club located in the Singletree neighborhood of Edwards, Colorado. This lifestyle club is a favorite among locals whether they live in the neighborhood or anywhere in the Vail Valley. This club is centrally located with a popular restaurant, amazing views of Arrowhead Ski Mountain and a state-of-the-art fitness center.

Do you want to golf on top of the world? Cordillera in Edwards is the place for you! For members wanting three 18-hole golf courses in addition to a short par 3, 10-hole golf course, the sky is the limit at this club. Additionally, their vibrant social membership is a mix of both locals and second homeowners who live in one of the four Cordillera communities or nearby neighborhoods. They have full golf memberships, young professional, social, and corporate memberships to choose from. Under the Vail Resorts flag, there are eight clubs throughout the Vail Valley that offer an array of choices to suit your needs. These include a collection of private ski and golf clubs which have their own incomparable style and provide a place for friends and family to gather. Each of the clubs are purposefully and exclusively different, offering memberships depending upon the needs of the member. These clubs include: The Arrabelle Club, Arrowhead Mountain Club, Bachelor Gulch Club, Beaver Creek Club, Game Creek Club, Passport Club, Red Sky Golf Club and Vail Mountain Club.

All these clubs and activities provide a wide array of options for those looking to further explore the lifestyles of living in the Vail Valley. When the time is right for you to discover which lifestyle is the best fit, Andie is happy to give you an exclusive tour. Visit VailAreaRealEstate.com or contact Andie directly at 970.471.5233.
