How to Take Care of Your Luxury Car
So you finally have it, the car of your dreams. You love driving around in it, it makes you feel like a million dollars, and all you want to do is take care of it. Unless you are extremely wealthy, a luxury car will have cost you a lot of time, hard work, and sacrifice, and all that means you will want to pay particular attention to taking care of it. Imagine how you would feel if your dream car breaks down or needs repairing.
Regular Serving
A luxury car is not an ordinary car, it looks better, it performs better, it feels better in every way, but all of that comes at a price. A luxury car actually needs to be maintained and served more regularly than an ordinary vehicle. You need to look at your car’s manual and ensure that you book appointments with a specialist serving company for your type of vehicle. In some cases, you may well be able to do some simple maintenance with these mechanic tips; however, due to the fact it is a state-of-the-art machine, you need regular professional help.
Your Driving Style
With a luxury car, you actually need to be extra vigilant on the roads. Things that would not bother you in an ordinary car will bother you in a high-end car. Things such as potholes are a major concern, especially if your car is especially low. You also need to take extra care in bad weather conditions, especially snow and ice. Yeh last thing you want is to slide into a fire hydrant as soon as the weather turns bad.
Cleaning
You will want to stay ahead of the cleaning, so ensure you do this at least once or twice a week. Use a soft brushed handheld vacuum for the insider of your car, the seats, floor, etc. Get a specialist leather cleaning product as well as a soft microfibre cloth to clean the dashboard, steering wheel, etc. If dirt and debris have accumulated in a tight space you cannot vacuum, use your leather cleaning product and a soft-bristle brush to remove it. For the exterior, you probably don’t need to do this every week, but fairly regularly, like once a month, depending on your weather condition. You will want a specialist soap and sponge and high-quality wax and chamois leather cloth.
The Tires
In high-performance cars, you will notice any difference in tire air pressure more quickly than an ordinary car, and it has more potential to cause damage. So to prevent any damage that misaligned tires can cause, regularly check your tire pressures. Additionally, you need to ensure that the tread is at least 1.5mm or more at any time. If it is below, then you need new tires.
Clutch
The clutch is one of the most important features of a luxury car. One way to keep an eye on how well-functioning your clutch is by noticing any change to your engine speed. If the engine speed changes without you telling the car to, then your clutch needs to be serviced.
