Jackson Hole - More Than a Mountain

Jackson Hole Mountain Resort has long been considered one of the premier ski and snowboard destinations in the United States, but somehow, Jackson Hole is about to get even better this winter.

This season, visitors will once again be treated to some of the best on-slope experiences in the West, thanks to the resort’s commitment to fewer people on the mountain and shorter lift lines than ever before. For the third consecutive year JHMR will limit capacity to ensure guests have convenient access to lifts, terrain and on-mountain services during their visit. Inspired by COVID-19 protocols in 2020 but now a regular feature at JHMR, the move to limited capacity has garnered overwhelmingly positive feedback from resort guests, and demand at the resort is higher than ever.

With all that in mind, JHMR recommends making reservations well in advance this winter. Ticket sales will be limited on a daily basis and will be available for advanced purchase, and tickets may sell out.

Regular visitors to Jackson Hole will immediately notice a change this winter in the form of the new high-speed Thunder Lift. Installed over the summer and ready to roll when the first snow falls, the new quad lift travels 1,000 feet per minute, twice the velocity of the original Thunder, and will cut riders’ time down from just over 7 minutes to 3.6 minutes.
