Miami Superyacht Soirée Aboard Miss Moneypenny V With Vontobel, Axiom Space, Burgess Yachts, Rebecca
Set against the backdrop of the iconic Fontainebleau Hotel on Collins Avenue in Miami Beach, My Yacht® Group returned during Art Week to host its 9th annual charity superyacht reception in partnership with Bank Vontobel aboard the stunning 165ft M/Y MISS MONEYPENNY V.
Aboard in Miami for the first time, Axiom Space continued its series of (U)HNW curated “Night Before” private dinners, hosting an exclusive gathering at world famous Estiatorio Milos where record-setting 4-time astronaut, 3-time Space Shuttle Commander Michael Lopez-Alegria gave the rapt audience a glimpse of what future Axiom Space Tourists can expect when they train, launch and spend 10 days in low earth orbit aboard the International Space Station.
Moored at Fontainebleau Marina for the first time, the 165 series Mangusta Miss Moneypenny V, currently for sale through Burgess Yachts, provided an impressive setting for an evening that saw Vontobel executives and top clients aboard, along with a broad array of international UHNW, superyacht owners and charters, private aviation owners and charterers, auto racing team owners, plus art collectors, Art Basel VIP guests and Collector’s Circle members.
The evening raised both awareness and funds for charity partner YachtAid Global through on board pledges plus a silent auction that featured items from Dream Hotel Miami, Axiom Space, plus art and photography works donated by Gallery 211 and YAG superyacht Captains.
Custom “Space Station” and “Astronaut” Rebecca Creek Distillery cocktails plus magnums of Whispering Angel kept the mood lively, accompanied by tunes from DJ Misha Samson and live saxophonist Marck Morgan.
