Silver Yachts - Bold

Bold sets benchmarks in cruising and handling, innovation, space and technology. Built on a platform that maintains its power with a proven hull design defined by her predecessors through the constant advancements, innovation, and collaboration between Espen Øino and the SilverYachts team. Owners can be assured of the highest level of capability to take them further with no compromises. Unrivaled fuel efficiency and shallow draft of just 2.4 m give you access to some of the most remote locations exceeding other yachts of her size. One of her owner’s favorite spots in the Exuma’s is Hawksbill Cay.

Bold has justified its traveling efficiency and safety, making her 21-day maiden voyage across the Indian Ocean covering 8,000 Nm from Australia to Cala di Volpe, Italy with only a single fuel stop. She can easily reach top speeds of 23 Knots and maintain a continuous cruising speed of 17 Knots allowing her to travel more than 4,000 Nm. This is made possible with her sleek hull design and her twin MTU 16V 4000 M73L each producing 2880 kW of power. She has since clocked over 70,000 Nm since launch, navigating through the waters of the Mediterranean, Nova Scotia, Papua New Guinea, Fiji and Australia.

Bold features some of the most eye-catching naval architecture created by world-renowned designer Espen Øino. The owner wanted a vessel comparable to an all-terrain vehicle where you can throw all the toys and tenders on the back and go where you want to go, Bold does not disappoint.

Bold’s Aft Main Deck boasts a 400 m² helideck designed to hold and transport submarines, toys and large tenders up to 15 m. Launch and retrievals are made possible through the 6-tonne crane which has a max reach of 15 m. The Helideck is commercially certified for 24-hour operation and rated to D=13 / Tmax 3.6 tonnes allowing for safe landings and takeoffs suitable for helicopters such as the Bell 429. There is an additional heli-fuel storage tank of 3,000 liters that allows Bold’s adventurous owner to take this world-class explorer to new heights such as Patagonia’s Mountains Fjords or the Ranges of Cordillera Sarmiento.

The entertaining deck located immediately above the Owner’s Deck, continues the theme of expansive open space. Glass backed serveries outboard with adjacent sliding glass doors fwd protect the 16 seater marble dining table, offering an open-air tranquil setting. Forward of the dining table, is a full comprehensive bar comprising of induction teppanyaki/cooktops, rotisseries and refrigerated spaces, fulfilling guests’ culinary desires between main meals. Aft of the dining area is another large open deck space with provision for shade sail coverage allowing the space to be configured into a multitude of layouts.

The Sun Deck brings a more intimate feel encapsulating 360 degrees views. The forward split deck offers an eight-person Jacuzzi and sun lounges, behind raking windbreak glass.

The aft split deck offers an 8 person settee behind windbreak glass and is protected by the overhead mast. Aft of the settee is another open deck with relaxed outdoor seating and a feature centerpiece.

Despite her adventurous personality and aggressive styling, Bold’s elegant and spacious, New York inspired loft interiors make it the perfect retreat after an eventful day.

Bold offers accommodation for up to 16 guests spread over 8 spacious staterooms each with a double bed and ensuite giving guests a sanctuary of their own. The Owners Deck forward is reserved for the master suite complete with his and hers ensuite and direct access to the exterior decks.

Adjoining the Master suite aft is the Owner’s Salon/Loft and adjacent Wintergarden. The award winning multifunctional space is undeniably one of the best features of Bold. At 13 m across and a combined floor space of 300 m², the Loft and Wintergarden extend past the 11 m beam with floor to ceiling glass that overhangs the water offering panoramic views of the surroundings.

The Wintergarden is enclosed with full-height wraparound sliding glass panels capable of sliding and stacking out of the way, fully and partly, which allows you to create both indoor and outdoor spaces to suit the weather conditions at any destination on the globe.

M.Y. Bold was recently on display at the Fort Lauderdale Show in October. The next 6 months will see her chartering in and around the Bahamas, Caribbean, Patagonia and Galapagos.
