Travel Guide to Kaan Luum Lagoon

The cenotes in Mexico are incredible, and many citizens and foreign tourists travel to the coast and vegetated areas to discover these natural treasures.

If you are exploring the Yucatan Peninsula, you will have had the opportunity to take wonderful routes to see emblematic cenotes, such as Kaan Luum. This cenote is located 8 kilometers from Tulum, north of the Sian Kaan reserve. Its name, which means “yellow land”, has an interesting origin.

At the beginning of your visit to the lagoon, you will find a cenote of turquoise waters and great depth, accessible through a wooden bridge. Here you can practice apnea, scuba diving, snorkeling and swimming. If you wish to explore its depths, you will have to pay an additional fee.
