Viewline Resort Snowmass & Wildwood Snowmass - Two Iconic Resorts
Just in time for ski season, two iconic resorts reopened in Snowmass Village, Colorado - Viewline Resort Snowmass, Autograph Collection and sister property, Wildwood Snowmass. The newly transformed properties will tremendously elevate the renowned multi-season experience that Snowmass Village offers guests and the local community. When redesigning the resorts and their elements, the partners involved in the process took a 360° approach to ensure the properties are apt for skiers and non-skiers alike, adventure seekers, spa-goers, families, and couples. Better yet, no matter where you stay, the incredible services and new amenities will be interchangeable for guests of each property.
Positioned mid-mountain, Viewline Resort Snowmass, Autograph Collection underwent a multi-million-dollar renovation and rebrand. To complement the unparalleled ski-in/ski-out access, the property is debuting a Private Ski and Bike Concierge. The resort will also feature distinct culinary concepts with the introduction of Stark’s Alpine Grill guest and a well-rounded wellness experience with the debut of Lupine Spa, created to bring the invigorating wellness of the mountains indoors. For skiers and non-skiers alike, the property provides an array of activities from Snow biking to snowshoeing.
Located within the same complex, Wildwood Snowmass also received a refresh and is reopening as a “cozy chic” home-away-from-home with interior design concepts featuring 60’s retro-style furnishings and an edgy color palette. With Après Ski vibes top of mind, a new restaurant and beer hall, aptly named Last Chair, is inspired by its alpine setting. Lounge seating, intimate corner tables and communal fireside tables offer options for indulging in apps, entrees, and specialty pizzas – paired with 10 Colorado brews on tap.
Design was an integral part of the transformation to the two new properties. Infusing the 1960’s spirit, hotel design and development firm, The Gettys Group, oversaw the significant renovations to Viewline Resort Snowmass, Autograph Collection and Wildwood Snowmass. The group focused on the elements that matter most to today’s guest: connection to nature, wellness, premier food and beverage and multigenerational families. Chief Innovation Officer of The Gettys Group, Ron Swindler, has a deep history of the Snowmass region having worked on the same property 20 years prior to this project. Cultivating a modern mountain Colorado resort with a 1960’s ethos, the group made enhancements to the exteriors, interiors, guestrooms, bathrooms and F&B spaces.
Wellbeing was also a priority when creating the guest concepts. In partnership with SUNDÃRI, a pioneering Ayurvedic, all-natural skincare brand, and HydraFacial©, a renowned, medical-grade resurfacing treatment, Lupine Spa at Viewline Resort Snowmass, Autograph Collection will be the ideal spot for Apres-Ski pampering. The spa will be open to the outside community and guests of sister property Wildwood Snowmass too. Spanning 3,650 square feet, the spa features a dedicated relaxation area, six treatment rooms, and oversized steam rooms for ultimate pampering. The spa will also feature Inhalation Therapy with 15-, 30-, and 45-minute oxygen sessions assist with acclimation to altitude and when combined with aromatherapy fragrances provide an excellent re-energizing effect. Guests will be able to choose the session that best suits their needs from Energy and Joy to Relaxation and Clarity. The Gettys Group helmed the innovative design of Lupine Spa. Inspired by the resort’s alpine setting, Lupine Spa incorporates the beauty of the surrounding mountains through thoughtful touches and the use of exquisite materials, including the striking reception counter made of a locally sourced 5,000-pound solid granite boulder with a steel base.
An integral part of its transformation, Viewline Resort Snowmass, Autograph Collection and Wildwood Snowmass will debut new culinary experiences in partnership with RING on HOOK, a nationally acclaimed Denver-based hospitality company. Restaurant management will be overseen by Davidson Restaurant Group. At Viewline, Stark’s Alpine Grill is the new signature restaurant designed to evoke a cozy tavern feel, specializing in innovative American fare with curated menus evolving seasonally to match the year-round experience. The restaurant will be open for breakfast, lunch and dinner. An extension of Stark’s, Viewline Lobby Bar has also been thoughtfully redesigned to play a role in the guest experience immediately upon arrival. Extending to the outdoors with a three-level deck along the side of the mountain, Viewline Lobby Bar provides a more casual après ski experience, serving regional microbrews and wines, handcrafted cocktails, and gourmet appetizers. Wildwood Snowmass is opening Last Chair, a cool & cozy new restaurant and beer hall. The perfect place to hang after a momentous day in Snowmass, Last Chair features lounge seating, snug corners, and fireside joiner tables, serving up 10 taps of Colorado’s finest brews paired with unique entrees, appetizers, and specialty pizzas. The new culinary concepts draw international inspiration through The Gettys Group’s trip to Institut Paul Bocuse, a culinary institute in Lyon, France. During the research immersion, the team was inspired by the Alpine and Nordic design and dishes and integrated these concepts into the spaces.
Snowmass Village is heralded for being a family-friendly destination. Therefore, Viewline Resort Snowmass, Autograph Collection is unveiling Lupine KidsZone for little adventurers ages 5 to 12. The engaging, kid-centered program allows families to get the most out of their visit by offering fun and safe activities for children while parents enjoy a little time to unwind.
